Hi Heather,
Glad to hear that you made it home! Healing can take place SO much better, when you're in familiar surroundings! Bet it feels good. We hope that your progress stays "on track" and that you'll see positive results from your surgery. We'll keep you in our thoughts and prayers!
Love, Aunt Sharon and Uncle Dug

I know that I am not family or friend, but I have been following your surgery and experience at TCI as I will be going through the same in May. I am so happy for you that you made it through this so well and made it home safely. Now your healing can really begin. When You feel up to it do You think you will be posting more details of Your experience, or do you just want to put it all behind You? I hate to ask You ??s at this time. If it is not to much to ask can You email me or post weather or not You donated bone from Your hip for the fusion, if so was that painful? Were You terribly uncomfortable on the flight home? I completely understand if You are not up to responding or just don't want to. I am just having trouble getting these answers from TCI. Be well, I hope You acheive the maximum releif possible from the procedure. Take plenty of time to relax and recover, don't push yourself. Thank you so much for sharing your experience, it has really helped me, and I am sure others, to feel more at ease going into this procedure. I plan to post my xperience on the Braintalk Communities Chiari Forum my user name is miswired at http://brain.hastypastry.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=87 if You are interested. Sorry this is so long, but I truly think it was a wonderful thing you did that not only helps Chiarians, but also helps to increase awareness, since most of us don't look to the naked eye as if there is a thing wrong, it helps people to realize the serious nature of Chiari and related disorders. Thank You.

Sincerely and with great care,
Anna Gherardi
