Time to retire the old car
The '91 626 has been needing a new clutch for a while. Today I took it down to the local mechanic to get an estimate on that and the brakes. I expected to get a thousand dollar quote. Instead the mechanic told me that while he'd love to put a new clutch in my car, he couldn't let me put that much money into the car. It seems that the frame has a lot of rust and it really isn't that safe to drive. So it turns out that we need to start car shopping again. Ugh, I was hoping we would finish the first set of car payments before starting the second set.
