Falling Ice
After I got out of the shower this morning I was startled by a series of loud thumps that sounds like it came from the roof. It scared Baxter and he barked at it. I quickly got dressed and ran downstairs to look to see what was going on outside. I found this large chunk of ice had fallen off the roof.
This is the section of roof that it rolled down. It must have been hanging on the furnace exhaust. The vent on the lower left is for the bathroom where I was standing. I had to borrow a camera to get these pictures (Thanks, Leslie!) since Heather took the camera with her. When I took Baxter out this morning you could still see the bits of ice that had broken off while the big chunk rolled down the roof.
