Believe it or not, all of us at the Straz househould got a good nights sleep last night! We put the puppy to bed at 10 and didn't hear any (more than a couple wimpers in the first 5 minutes) until 6:30 this morning!
He didn't mess in his crate last night and he was even able to wait until I got him outside to potty, even though he was very excited to see me this morning!
I think Rex (our resident bunny) even slept well. Last night he was acting like he was still king of the house and didn't think much of the puppy. We heard a couple loud thumps, but I think he just needed to show the pup where he stands in the household.
Some names we are thinking about, what do you think??
- Baxter
- Dakota
- D O G (dee-o-jee)
- Bruce
Good morning, Heather! I just got to the office and checked your site for an update- cute puppy! Is he going to be a vegan?Rex is probably really jealous about the carrot.I printed his picture to show Caleb tonight and maybe he will have a name to suggest. He looks like he will be a lot of fun.I am really glad all continues to go well-we'll give you a buzz tonight. Love to you both,
Dad
Heather took him to the vet this morning. The vet thinks he will look like a Border Collie
Hey guys- I'm a volunteer at the animal shelter. Carolyn (the lady you worked with to adopt Spunky/Baxter) shared your blog information, so I had to check it out. As volunteers, our only pay is happy endings, and we LOVE updates!
Baxter's mother, Mollie, is an absolute doll that everyone loves- she is extremely sweet and mild-mannered. Hopefully he inherited her outstanding disposition.
Glad to hear that things are going well with little Baxter- I hope he spends many years as your best buddy. And running partner! :-)
Best wishes,
Danalee
